Hello Internet. I'm Mina, a third year psychology student, and this is the "psychology" page of my website.

I'm hand-coding this with HTML and CSS (no website builder, no templates), so this page is a work in progress while I learn !

My current intrests (within Social Psychology) include:

  • Internet-based phenomena

This year, my uni colleagues and I submitted a little research paper of ours, that was originally made for an assigmnent, to the 74th Congress of Psychologists of Serbia.

We presented it at the Poster Session, and actually ended up winning the Best Poster award! We got lots of compliments on the design, which I was very proud of and had a lot of fun working on.

The title of our little paper is Negative attitudes towards Psychotherapy, and it was a content analysis done on r/Serbia and r/AskSerbia Reddit threads containing keywords like "psychotherapy" or "psychotherapist". Our goal was essentially to categorize the most commonly cited reasons for a negative attitude towards psychotherapy within the Serbian population.

The actual paper was just an assignment for a uni course, but I will link the pdf of the poster here!

I volunteered for the 32. Empirical Studies in Psychology International Scientific Conference in 2026!

I was in charge of the amphitheatre, which was an honour, as that was the room where both of the keynote lectures were held -- How We Approach Interpersonal Conflicts: Style or Skill? by dr Tamara Džamonja Ignjatović, and On the Psychology of Interactions of Humans With Other Animals by dr Marija Branković (whose timing was a bit funny, since it was right before lunch, where a lot of meat was served ).

I volunteered for the 30. Empirical Studies in Psychology International Scientific Conference in 2024! It was my first ever science convention.

I was stationed in my faculty's assembly hall and got to listen to an interesting series of studies on the topic of Intelligence.
